National Martini Day

If it’s good enough for James Bond, then it’s good enough for us!

It’s National Martini Day, and it’s Friday – what a wonderful coincidence! It would be rude not to indulge, right? While Martinis may not be the drink of choice for many, it’s a firm favourite with mixologists, thanks to the elegance and fusion of flavours – not to mention the endless possibilities.

So, in honour of this wondrous day, we’ve picked a few of our favourite Martini recipes to help you celebrate in style.


Pink Lady Martini


45ml gin
10ml grenadine
10ml egg white
25ml lime juice
Orange zest
Dried rose petals spray

Add all ingredients into a shaker & shake vigorously.
Strain into a coupette glass filled with cubed ice and top with crushed ice.
Garnish with rose petals spray and rose petals.

Dairy Milk Martini


45ml vodka
1 bar of Dairy Milk, at room temperature
15ml creme de cacao
15ml heavy cream

Combine all ingredients together in a blender half-filled with ice cubes.
Blend until a layer of froth forms, pour into a martini glass and serve immediately.
Dust with Dutch cocoa.

Lychee Martini


Ice cubes
6oz vodka
4oz lychee juice
Splash of vermouth
2 lychees, for garnish

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice add vodka, lychee juice and vermouth. Shake until chilled. Pour into two martini glasses and garnish with lychees.

Apple Pie Martini


1 1/2oz vanilla vodka
2oz apple juice
1/2oz lemon juice
1/2oz Simple syrup
Pinch of cinnamon

Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake well and pour into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a slice of fresh apple, if desired.
