Located in the heart of Birmingham, this fantastic 19th-Century, Grade II listed building has won numerous accolades and has a well-deserved reputation as one of the city’s best pubs. Step inside and you’ll find a magnificent room with an impressive glass-domed ceiling, as well as an island bar serving all of Fuller’s cask-conditioned ales as well as guest ales from local breweries.
The Venue has, in the last year, undergone some sympathetic upgrading, including the addition of a beautiful snug area, which adds to its wonderful charm. The new-style menu boasts speciality home-baked pies, including a weekly changing house pie. Diners will also find an ale and pie taster board offering a taste of London Pride, ESB and Honey Dew matched with a mini pie, mashed potato and gravy. There’s also a delicious selection of sandwiches and traditional English meals available all day.
On Sundays you can enjoy the fantastic sound of The Venue’s own jazz band whilst enjoying a very tasty Sunday lunch – it’s the perfect way to finish off any weekend. The Old Joint Stock is home to a wonderful studio-style theatre, situated on the second floor, offering a full program of entertainment throughout the year. Listings are available on the website or from The Venue box office.
