At The Six Bells in Penmark you'll find something old and something new. Proudly trading under new management and following a recent refurbishment, this traditional pub in the heart of the village is fast building a reputation for serving quality home-cooked food in the friendliest of surroundings.

Found in picturesque Pemark just south west of Barry, The Six Bells attracts locals and visitors alike, and is just four minutes drive from Cardiff International Airport.

The traditional heart of the pub is its time-honoured bar, serving a range of real ales, lagers, spirits and European and New World wines. Warmth and comfort from the open fire and log burner fill the room during the winter months, creating that traditional country retreat feel. The recently refurbished restaurant however is sleek and stylish - think exposed oak beams and brown leather seating mixed with duck-egg blues and creams. The menu here is as diverse as the decor. Try popular pub classics like sausage and mash, fish and chips and lasagne on a cold winter's night, or maybe sample something from the grill. Succulent pork tenderloin served on a warm red onion and sultana chutney with sautéed potatoes, broccoli florets and an apple cider sauce is a signature dish, and, with jacket potatoes, baguettes and light bites available for lunch - not forgetting a traditional lunch served on Sundays - let the bells ring out for this exciting venue and its dedicated management.
