Jalapeno Peppers is a well-established Mexican and Cajun restaurant nestling in a little cobbled side street off the high street in Barnstaple.

The atmosphere is informal, cosy and relaxed with friendly staff, and the restaurant is housed in of one of the oldest converted warehouse buildings in this riverside town.

The menu is diverse, including high-quality classic and modern Mexican dishes, cuisine from the ‘deep South’ and daily fresh local fish specials, all reasonably priced. Each meal is freshly prepared and cooked to order with a choice of spice for everyone’s taste, with mild dishes for the careful and extra hot creations for the pros.

The restaurant is divided into the downstairs bar area and a large upstairs restaurant with intimate alcoves. At the bar you can enjoy fresh cocktails and a large range of tequilas and spirits, and you’ll find several comfortable tables at which to eat or drink. The upstairs restaurant is suitable for both large parties and candle-lit meals for two, and the restaurant can be hired out as a whole if required – perfect to add some heat to any celebration.

Jalapeno Peppers is a venue for enjoying excellent food and drink served until 9.30pm in the week and until 10pm at the weekend. You can sample various Mexican beers and frozen margaritas until midnight. Bookings are always advised.

Hasta la vista baby.
