Tower Inn serves a delicious and varied lunchtime menu of pub favourites and traditional Scottish fare. Starters feature classic prawns with Marie Rose sauce and Loch Fyne smoked salmon served with Scottish oatcakes. Mains make the best of local ingredients with North Atlantic haddock or cod, coated in the Tower Innís own batter and served, like all mains, with chips or potatoes, side salad, homemade coleslaw and fresh vegetables. Other mains include butterfly chicken breast marinated in lime and coriander, and thereís a comprehensive range of vegetarian dishes such as cream cheese and broccoli bake, Mediterranean risotto and vegetable lasagne.

The puddings at Tower Inn are a reason to visit in themselves. Deep-pan caramel and apple pie with lashings of custard or cream is sure to seduce diners away from even the strictest of diets, while the hot sticky toffee pudding has to be tasted to be believed. The Lakeland dairy ice cream is made fresh on the premises and is unsurprisingly popular with young and old diners alike.

You donít have to stop for a full meal as the Tower Inn serves a fantastic menu of lighter meals and snacks, perfect for a pit stop when out shopping. Find paninis, sandwiches, baps and baked potatoes with a range of tempting fillings like bacon, Brie and cranberry, smoked salmon and cream cheese, or double cheese and spring onion. Youíll also find a selection of burgers, from 100 per cent beef to a veggie option. Tower Inn is a friendly, family-oriented pub, and whether youíre stopping off for a toasted sandwich and a coffee, or a bowl of delicious sticky toffee pudding, youíll be glad you popped in.
